“The decisive response: The Sudanese Military Capabilities Platform demolishes chemical mask claims in Al-Khawi with conclusive documents and technical analyses.”

Technical Statement No. 8
Sudanese Military Capabilities Platform
Refuting Propaganda Claims about “Seizing Chemical Protection Equipment and Documents” in Al-Khuwi

The Sudanese Military Capabilities Platform has been closely following recent broadcasts circulated via accounts and videos affiliated with the Rapid Support Forces militia and some allied media outlets regarding the alleged “seizure of chemical weapons protection equipment and documents” belonging to the Sudanese Armed Forces in Al-Khuwi.

Among the equipment shown by the militia were masks of the type
FMJ05 Reusable Mask Silicone Full Face Facepiece Set Widely,
which are commercially available on e-commerce platforms such as Amazon and AliExpress for prices not exceeding 58 USD. These masks are neither designed nor certified for any military or chemical defense uses.

The mask shown, FMJ05, is not qualified for military chemical protection and lacks any certified filtration system to counter lethal agents such as nerve gases or cholinesterase inhibitors.

This mask is intended solely for civilian use, such as industrial painting, agricultural spraying, or dust protection.

The mask in question is not classified by any military standards for protection against chemical weapons, according to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW).

Therefore, attempts to present it as evidence of preparation for or use of chemical weapons attacks in Kordofan reflect deliberate misinformation and invalidate the claim outright.

The Sudanese Military Capabilities Platform considers these claims to be fundamentally no different than

The Sky News Arabia claim about “pink-colored ponds” allegedly contaminated by chemical weapons, which were later found to be deliberately polluted with an oxidizing agent, AGENT 5.1.

Militia allegations about chemical weapons in university facilities and conventional military bases causing “watery diarrhea” in Khartoum.

The U.S. State Department’s claim of a limited chemical weapon use a year ago in a remote area.

The claim of a Sudanese soldier wearing a chemical protection mask alongside the use of chemical munitions.

The suspicious purchasing pattern exposes the claims by the Rapid Support Forces militia; the Sudanese Armed Forces do not procure their equipment via Amazon or AliExpress but rather through official companies and sovereign states under precise defense protocols and documented contracts.

It is well known that the Rapid Support Forces militia stockpiles cheap civilian equipment purchased from online markets without documented invoices. This has been repeatedly demonstrated with Chinese military-style uniforms such as the F-16 1988 and F161, as well as communications jammers and drones, all misrepresented as evidence of advanced military capabilities or prohibited technologies in a large-scale disinformation campaign that began after the widely publicized U.S. State Department statement as a propagandistic follow-up.

There are no offensive weapons; only a staged scene showing a civilian mask and a set of papers with weak context, lacking any official institutional identity or formal administrative style.

The papers include vague terms such as “kept” without any documented operational context, using phrasing that suggests general guidelines rather than operational orders.

There is a stark contradiction between the name of the American mask referenced in the documents shown by the militia, which mentioned instructions pertaining to the M40 Field Protective Face FaceMask—a mask certified for protection against chemical, biological, and radiological agents—while the mask allegedly seized is the FMJ05 Reusable Face Mask, highlighting a blatant discrepancy between the documents and reality. This proves the militia and their political and military allies blatantly fabricate improvised media narratives to bolster their claims and patch the U.S. allegations with cheap and exposed tools.

Accordingly, the Sudanese Military Capabilities Platform confirms the following:

The FMJ05 mask cannot be considered evidence of any military use and is incapable of protecting against any prohibited chemical agent.

These claims closely resemble a prior series of scientifically weak and theatrically staged narratives, all serving the American narrative and echoing it in a naïve propaganda manner.

What has recently circulated does not meet the standards of technical, military, or professional media evidence but rather reflects a desperate attempt to fabricate a poorly produced media scene exploiting public ignorance of chemical protection technologies to fuel an international “disinformation campaign” against the Sudanese Armed Forces and Sudan as a whole.
