The Joint Forces destroyed the logistical depth of the Rapid Support Forces militia at Al-Zurq

“In the heart of its territory, be like a tiger in its den—swift in your strike and ready to withdraw before the enemy knows your position.” This is precisely the tactic executed by a mobile and roaming raid force, part of the joint forces in full coordination with the Sudanese Armed Forces. The force launched a field raid on “Al-Zurq,” which had previously succeeded in “disrupting logistics” missions by targeting and unsettling border convoys. These operations effectively disrupted the main supply chains of the militia, preventing supplies from reaching their frontline forces through speed, surprise, camouflage, and timing, while exposing the militia’s inability to protect its essential supply routes.

This time, in “Al-Zurq,” the operation went beyond merely disrupting and intercepting logistics convoys. The raiding force succeeded in targeting the logistical core of the militia at the “Al-Zurq” base, achieving the destruction of the logistical depth by targeting and destroying its infrastructure, transportation equipment, specialized tactical tools, supply equipment, and ammunition and fuel depots critical for military operations. They also seized a portion of these resources, including armored vehicles—specifically MSPV TLC-79 models, widely used in Al-Fashir city. It was revealed that Al-Zurq was their primary stationing base.

The success of the Sudanese Armed Forces and the joint forces in targeting and destroying the logistical core at “Al-Zurq” through a field raid has resulted in a strategic imbalance in operational dynamics. While the army and joint forces managed to dismantle the militia’s logistical depth, the militia has failed to reciprocate. This strategic imbalance will likely reduce the militia’s operational capabilities over the next four months due to a significant depletion of essential resources.

The destruction of the militia’s logistical depth represents a strategic and operational advantage in the western region in the coming period.

Continuing raids on primary logistics bases and mobile supply convoys along the borders will lead to the militia’s sustainment collapse, ultimately undermining its ability to maintain its semi-daily offensive operations, paving the way for its complete disintegration.
